About AR-PA

WHAT IS

AR-PA?

AR-PA TURISMO cultural is the fair for Cultural Heritage, Culture, and Cultural Tourism, which will be held in 2024 as an evolution of the AR&PA Fair for the restoration of Art and Heritage, which was founded in 1998 in Valladolid.

Over these 26 years and 14 editions, we have gradually grown, adapting to the times and evolving. Initially, it went from Art and Heritage Fair, to become a Fair for the Restoration and Management of Heritage, followed by the Biennial for Heritage Management and Restoration, incorporating new sections such as AR&PA Forum, Open for AR&PA, AR&PA For Everyone, AR&PA Awards, AR&PA International Congress, and AR&PA Family. Later, it became the Iberian Biennial of Cultural Heritage by including our Portuguese partners. In 2023, the concept underwent a METAMORPHOSIS, evolving into AR-PA TURISMO cultural for its first edition in 2024.

The event is scheduled to take place from November 15 to 17, 2024, at the Valladolid Fairgrounds, promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Sports of the Junta de Castilla y León. It will comprise various sections (AR-PA Institutions, AR-PA Business, AR-PA Forum, and AR-PA Family). In this 2024 edition, the content will be expanded to include the cultural promotion and artistic creation sector, as well as the tourism sector—a social and economic activity in which the legacy of Cultural Heritage and the cultural and artistic offer play a significant role. This new perspective was presented at a huge event in the Miguel Delibes Cultural Center in Valladolid on November 17, 2023, under the theme AR-PA METAMORPHOSIS.
